Hello everyone! This is Yuka, CASE Shinjuku staff.
We have big news! Our coworking space and shared office, “CASE Shinjuku,” was featured on Brazilian TV!
It was the first time we were mentioned on a TV station from another country, so it was really exciting!
Today, let me give you the background of the situation!
We Received an Email from ‘Jornal da Record’
One day, we got an email from a staff who is in charge of the program in the Asian region.
They had a plan to report on the Digital Nomad Visa program, which began in Japan on April 1, 2024.
They found a guy who was granted the visa last year, and he chose our space for an interview.
So, they requested us to let them use our space to conduct the interview.
Of course, we accepted the request because we always welcome foreigners who want to come to Japan for work and travel!
On Interview Day
On the interview day, a reporting team and the guy who was interviewed came here.
The reporting team seemed to be from Japan, but of course, they spoke Portuguese fluently. So, when they talked to each other, they used Portuguese. On the other hand, when they spoke with us, they used Japanese.
A reporter, Ms. Silvia Kikuchi, interviewed him about the Digital Nomad Visa. We do New Year’s calligraphy every year in our coworking space when the New Year begins. When the guy came to our office, the New Year had just begun, so he also tried doing New Year’s calligraphy.
She also interviewed me. She asked me about our space, my thoughts on foreigners working in Japan, and so on. I was really nervous to be interviewed, but it was fun to talk with her.

You Can Watch the Video on YouTube!
The video is a short one, about 2 minutes long within the whole TV program, but you can learn about what our space is like and a little bit about Japanese culture through the video!
Also, if you want to apply for the Digital Nomad Visa, it will give you the courage and a push forward.
Thank you very much for reading my blog until the end!
